How To Bring Home HUGE Affiliate Checks
Well, it's not that simple. Like anything else, you have to work. After a while, you may have to work less, but you always have to start somewhere. You need to advertise, and you need to be creative.
By Matt OConnor
Affiliate marketing has long promised the ideal of bringing home lots of cash without having to actually put in that much effort. But is this the truth?
When you become an affiliate for a product or service all you have to do is paste a link to their site and watch the commission from orders gained through your site come flooding in, right? Well, not quite. It's vital to understand that affiliate marketing is like any other form of marketing - there are no shortcuts and your site still needs to be marketed in the usual ways or you will see zero rewards.
Successful affiliates in any affiliate program simply don't sit there and wait for money to come. Why? Because there is no money in simply sitting and waiting. If you really want to get hold of large affiliate checks then you have to be constantly thinking of ways to make your visitors click on those affiliate links.
Here are a few brief guidelines that should get you off on the right track...
* Become an expert in your chosen field or affiliate product.
You can promote your merchant's product better if you know a lot of things about it. To become an expert, the best thing you can do is purchase your merchant's product yourself. Use the product inside out. That way you will get to know all the pros and cons of the product and this may enable you to write a testimonial on your site! Remember sometimes revealing the flaws (as long as they are minor) as well as the good points can make a review seem more believable and encourage your visitors to click on that link!
* Write your own affiliate ads.
Many vendors won't mind if you get a little "creative" in your promotion of their products and this can be a great way to make your ads stand out from all the other people who are promoting the same product.
* Participate in chat rooms, discussion boards, and forums related to your product.
If you used to ignore them before, then it is time for you to start focusing your attention on them. You can start your own chat room or join an existing chat room related to your product. It's a good idea not to promote your product straight away. Instead, build trust with your forum colleagues by giving out advice, then, over time, mention your affiliate product. Otherwise you just look like a spammer, not a good thing!
* Create a free ezine or newsletter.
Ezines and newsletters are periodical publications whose aim is to inform a group of people about a certain subject. In your ezines and newsletters, you don't always have to promote your merchant's product for this may greatly annoy your subscribers.
Rather, find a way to insert your affiliate ads and links on some portions of the letter. Also, don't forget to promote your ezine or newsletter on your website.
These are but a few guidelines on how you can increase your affiliate sales and continually grow your affiliate checks.
What's important is that you are able to find a way to: attract more traffic to your site, induce your visitors to click on the ads on your site, and be able to promote your merchant's products even outside the boundary of your website. If you can do this, there's no reason for you to fail in affiliate marketing.

Affiliate Bombshell - 8 Surefire Strategies That Generate Over $100,000 Per Annum
By Joe Okoro
Many have asked me this very question: "Why do some
affiliates make less than $200 per month while the top
affiliates go on to make as much as $3,000-$30,000 per
month?"
The Truth of the matter is most affiliates are not
willing to take the path that the top affiliates are
taking to make such insane income. They want a get-rich
quick system. This hardly works with affiliate programs.
However, there is good news for affiliates who are
willing to get their hands dirty a little bit. Successful affiliate marketing today is based on the following 8 factors.
A good friend of mine who is an affiliate applied it and
made over $100,000 in pure profits from sales generated
by him.
These factors seem so simple and are often neglected but
they are immensely powerful once applied.
1. Identify A Niche
The success of most affiliates comes from their chosen
niche. If you find a profitable Niche, you can make a ton of money. As an affiliate you have to research an area or an interest you are very good at. Find out if people are interested or are actually researching for your area of interest. Locate reputable affiliate programs in your Niche market and contact them. Also do some findings about these programs to authenticate their credibility.
2. Build A Simple Website
Once you have identified your Niche, the next thing you
do will be to go online and research for information that you will use to build your website. Please take note that you will need to build a free content website with all the information you can get concerning your subject. Dont be afraid to give away this information, once you give away and over deliver to your prospects, they will always come back to you for guidance. But do not sell anything on your site.
3. Grow An Opt-In Email List
When you build your website one of the goals of your website will be to get email leads. This you can achieve by providing a simple opt-in email webform on every page of your free content website. This will make it easy for your visitors to subscribe to your email newsletter or tips of that subject. You should cultivate the habit of getting information that will be useful at least once every week to your subscriber base.
4. Publish More Free Content
Each article you find online that will be helpful both to your subscriber base and prospects should be posted on your website. Try to only provide high quality information and newsletters to your website. Give out freebies on your site to enhance subscription rate and practically over deliver on your information generousity.
5. Find Out What Your Prospects Want.
In the course of writing your newsletter. Try to build relationship with your list by constantly replying each
and every email. Show them you Actually care for them by
pre-selling yourself. Let them know you are interested
in them as a person and not just someone who is interested in making a quick bucks. Give off yourself freely and you will earn their trust and confidence. Find out what product they actually need.
6. Get The Product For Your List
After you have built trust with your email list they will be in the mood to buy from you as a recommendation from a trusted source. You have to get products that you are affiliated with or that you have bought licence for, or products that have Master resell rights. But this product must be of high quality or else you will loose the credibility that took you time to build.
7. Sell The Products To Your List.
Send out your recommendation or review on the product and make it seem like a special offer that has a time span within which the price will be increased, this will make your offer to be sold out fast. You will be amazed at the result you will get this time. You can easily make tens of thousands of Dollars this way.
8. Go Back To Step 4 (Publish More Contents)
Repeat the steps from 4 to 7 for every 2-4 months to your email list and do not overwhelm them with products they dont need.
There you have it. This is the exact steps and strategies that the top affiliates are using to take away your competition. If and when properly done you can generate between $60,000-$100,000 or more per annum. This is my guarantee!
There is no need to reinvent the wheel. If you are looking for a quick way to instant wealth, chances are that you may never see it.

StormClix & StormPay - Make Some Money Online
They say that clicking on StormClix ads can give you anywhere between $0.01 and $5.00 per click. So far, I have only seen ads giving out $0.01 and $0.02 per click. I haven't been checking that much but higher paying ads would probably be used up super fast. If you're feeling bored and feel the need to browse ads, give StormClix a try.
Now, instead of making money through clicking on ads, you could buy ads with StormClix. I haven't tried it out. But if advertisers are buying ads, they can't all be wrong, right? Make sense?
Aside from StormClix, you can also make money with the affiliate program for StormPay. I believe you must have a large downline to make significant sums with this program. Why? Because they pay a 2.5% commission of their profits. So unless your downline spends a lot through StormPay, I don't think you'd get that much. However, if you continually promote it along with other programs, you could build up some income over time.

Making a Fortune on the Net with Affiliate Programs
by Paul Majestyck
The World Wide Web could be considered a synonym for opportunity. Millions of Internet entrepreneurs are finding new ways to make money online, as the opportunities for building home based businesses online are growing everyday. Existing businesses are using the Internet as a vehicle for marketing their products and services online while at the same time brand new businesses are getting started with only a home computer and a determination to succeed. The general landscape of commerce has changed forever.
One of the most exciting developments of Internet marketing that is making many entrepreneurs rich is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing could be the future of marketing and replacement for much of traditional paid advertising because affiliate marketing only cost the advertiser when the advertising is effective. In any affiliate program there is a host web site and affiliates. Affiliates advertise for the host web site using banners, text links, and e-mails with embedded text links and when a web search surfer clicks through from an affiliate link to the host site and makes a purchase the affiliate is paid either a set fee or a commission based on the affiliate agreement.
According to Paul Majestyck of MakeAFortuneOnTheNet.com , "Affiliate marketing has proven to be so profitable that some people are making a fortune on the net solely through affiliate programs." These affiliates are basically advertising agents earning profits by selling other people's products and services. This means that the affiliate can concentrate on the primary object of generating targeted traffic and promoting affiliate products.
The potential for making money in affiliate programs is virtually unlimited but affiliates need to choose the right programs to maximize the chances of success. One of the most important aspects of choosing affiliate programs to promote is to choose products and services that would be of interest to the affiliate's current traffic base. For example, a webmaster operating a web design firm is going to be most successful promoting affiliate programs for products that would interest those who are building new web sites. Potential products and services to promote might include search engine optimization services, blog template design and implementation services, Internet marketing, web content and merchant account services. There is a much greater chance of making sales when the affiliate links are relevant to the market of the affiliate web site. A web designer is not going to have much success promoting affiliate links for vitamins or other unrelated products. It is all about targeting qualified prospects.
There is no doubt that affiliate marketing will continue to grow in the future creating even greater opportunities for entrepreneurs all over the Internet.

LinkExplore Review Summaries
Linking101.com's Link Review
Larry Sullivan states that LinkExplore "is one of the best investments you can make in your link building campaign. ... it is my opinion that the benefits and future potential earnings (from such things as better search engine rankings), outweigh the costs involved in getting and using LinkExplore. I want to thank Sumantra for a great product that really can make your link building grow quickly and effectively."
LinkExplore Product Review by Christine Churchill
Christine states that LinkExplore saves time and increases efficiency by automating something you're already going to be doing. Also, the documentation and ease of use are excellent. LinkExplore can also be used as a research tool. Imagine having access to a database of potential business partners or competitors.
A couple more points she mentions: there is no easy data export feature, and the data pulling may violate search engine terms.
Review of LinkExplore by John Bickerton
John states that "the hours spent finding quality links have been shortened by at least 75 percent. The monthly update of new sites willing to trade links is an especially useful feature of LinkExplore. It is easy to use and a very valuable internet marketing tool."
Some benefits he points out: HUGE database, generates HTML for links you need to add, automates sending emails for sites you want to link with.

Improving the Link Popularity of your site
This article shows you different methods to improve your link popularity, including some "not so good" methods like free-for-all pages. Other methods include giving away prizes and doing link exchanges. If you're doing link exchanges manually, then you know how long it takes to do that - finding the right sites, finding sites with link pages, finding contact information, updating your own links page, sending emails, waiting for a response... For an easier way to improve link popularity, look into an automated solution like LinkExplore.
By Sumantra Roy
Link popularity, i.e. the number of sites which are linking to your site, is an increasingly important factor as far as search engine placement is concerned. Other things remaining the same, more the number of links to your site, higher will be its ranking.
What is important is not only the number of links to your site, but also the types of sites which are linking to you. A link from a site which is related to yours is more valuable than a link from an unrelated site.
In this article, I explore different methods by which you can improve the link popularity of your site. I start with a method that you shouldn't bother using, then go on to the moderately effective methods, and then end with the most effective methods you can use to boost the link popularity of your site.
1) Submitting your site to Free For All (FFA) pages
A common misconception among many Internet marketers is that while FFA pages may not directly bring in traffic to your site, it will help to improve the link popularity of your site, and hence, will indirectly bring in traffic through the search engines.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Most FFA pages can contain only a certain number of links at a time. This means that when you submit your site to a FFA page, your site will be placed at the top of the page. However, as more and more people submit their sites to the FFA page, your site will be pushed down, and finally, when it reaches the bottom of the page, it will be removed.
Now, since you can bet that plenty of other people are also submitting their sites to the FFA pages, your site will remain in these pages for only a short span of time. Hence, in order to ensure that the search engines see your site if and when they come to spider the FFA page, you will need to ensure that you submit your site to these FFA pages on a regular basis - at least once a week.
Even if you used an automatic submission program to do it, can you imagine a worse way to spend your time and/or money? Furthermore, many search engines recognize these pages which only contains links to other sites as FFA pages and may completely ignore them. And while I haven't yet seen any evidence that submitting to the FFA pages will actually penalize your site, there is every possibility that this might happen in the future.
Hence, when it comes to FFA pages, my advice is simple: don't even think about them.
2) Starting an Awards Program
A moderately effective method of improving the link popularity of your site is to start an awards program. You can have web sites which are related to yours apply for an award from your site. The sites which win the award get the chance to display the logo for your award. This logo is linked to your site, preferably to a page which contains more information on the award.
If you publish a newsletter, consider declaring the winners in your newsletter. You can also perform a review of the winners' sites in your newsletter. This adds useful content to your newsletter and also gives more webmasters the incentive to apply for your award, since you may review their sites in your newsletter. This also gives them the incentive to subscribe to your newsletter to see if they win the award.
Make sure that you give awards to only those sites which deserve to win. If you give your award to sites which don't deserve it, your award will have little credibility, which will, in turn, hurt the credibility of your company. Furthermore, make sure that the logo you design for the award looks professional. If it doesn't, not many webmasters will want to display it in their sites.
3) Giving testimonials
This may sound a bit unusual, but giving testimonials for products or services which you find useful can be another moderately effective way of improving the link popularity of your site. If you really like a product, simply write to the company and tell them why you liked the product so much and how it has helped you. Chances are, the company will write back to you to thank you for your comments and will ask you for permission to display your comments in their web site. Tell the company that you have no problems if they publish your comments, but request them to add a link to your site along with the testimonial. There is every possibility that the company will agree since publishing the URL of your web site gives more credibility to the testimonial.
Of course, please don't go about giving testimonials to every company you can locate just because it will improve your link popularity :-)
4) Posting to Message Boards and Discussion Lists
Another moderately effective method of increasing the link popularity of your site is to post to online message boards. At the end of every message that you post, you can sign off by mentioning your name and the URL of your web site. If the message board allows it, you can even include a short promotional blurb about your site at the end of your posts. However, make sure that the individual messages that are posted to that message board are archived in static HTML pages (i.e. the URLs for the individual messages should not contain a "?"). Otherwise, the search engines will consider these pages to be dynamic pages and may not spider these pages and hence, will not be able to find your link.
Email based discussion lists which are archived on the web in static HTML pages can also be used to boost the link popularity of your site in a similar manner. In this case, the signature file that you use with your email program should contain the URL for your web site.
5) Starting a Link Contest
A good method of improving the link popularity of your site is to give away prizes to other webmasters if they link to you. The prizes that you give out should ideally be something which other webmasters will find valuable enough to want to link to you, but which do not cost you too much. For instance, if you publish a newsletter, and have unsold ad inventory, you can give away some free advertisements in your newsletter to the winners. If you sell a software (or an ebook), you can give away a free copy of your software or ebook to the winners, since it doesn't cost you anything to produce an additional copy of digital goods like software and ebooks.
Link contests work best if you run the contest on a continuous basis and if you declare new winners frequently. If you run the contest for a few months, and then stop it, the webmasters who had linked to you will all remove their links. However, if you run it on a continuous basis, and declare new winners every month or so, the webmasters will have the incentive to keep their links to your site.
Also, make sure that you require all participants to have a link to your site either in their home page, or in an internal page of their site which is linked to their home page. Also ensure that the page which contains the link is no more than two levels deep from their home page (i.e. it should not take more than two clicks to go from the home page to the page containing the link). If they don't do this, the search engine spiders may not index the page which contains the link to your site, and hence, may not find your link.
6) Writing articles and allowing them to be re-published
This is by far one of the best ways of improving the link popularity of your site, and one of my favorites. Whenever I write an article on search engine placement, I first publish it in my newsletter and then I publish the article in my site as a separate web page. I also submit it to the following article submission sites:
ezinearticles.com
ideamarketers.com
marketing-seek.com
WWIO
web-source.net
Many webmasters and ezine publishers frequent these article directories in search of articles. Submitting my articles to these directories gives them the opportunity of re-publishing my articles. While I have had some success with each of the above directories, by far the best among them is the ezinearticles.com directory.
Now, at the end of each article, I mention that people are free to re-publish the article as long as they include my resource box (i.e. my bio) at the end of the article. I always include the URL of my site in the resource box. This means that whenever someone publishes one of my articles in his/her web site, I have another site linking to my site. Also, many ezine publishers archive their ezines in their web sites. If they have re-published my article in a particular issue, I again get a link.
Writing articles is also an excellent viral marketing tool. As some webmasters and ezine publishers publish my articles, other webmasters and ezine publishers will read my article. Some of them, in turn, will publish my article, which will again be read by other webmasters and ezine publishers, some of whom will publish it... and so on.
Also, since only web sites related to mine would be interested in publishing my articles, all these links tend to come from related sites, which, as I mentioned earlier, are more valuable than links from unrelated sites.
Writing articles, of course, has another very important benefit - if you write good articles, it makes you known as an expert in your field. This helps to improve your credibility, which makes people more comfortable about buying your products or services.
Some notes about writing articles:
i) I have learnt through experience that some webmasters will publish other people's articles and will display the complete resource box but will not link to the URL mentioned in the resource box. In order to prevent this, you need to explicitly state that the article can be published only if the URL mentioned in the resource box is linked to your site.
ii) Your resource box should not be too long - it should be no more than 6 lines long, formatted at 65 characters per line. Otherwise, other webmasters and ezine publishers will hesitate to publish your article.
7) Submitting to the directories
This is by far the most important step as far as improving the link popularity of your site is concerned. As I mentioned before, what is important is not only the number of links to your site, but also the quality of the links to your site. No links are as important as links from some of the major directories like Yahoo!, the Open Directory etc. However, Yahoo! currently requires a payment of $299 per year in order to list any commercial site. Paying them $299 per year just to improve your link popularity is probably not cost effective. But, the Open Directory is free, and you should definitely get your site listed in the Open Directory.
Also, you should submit your site to as many of the smaller directories as possible.
8) Exchanging links with other webmasters
The single-most effective way of improving the link popularity of your site is to exchange links with other webmasters who have sites which are related to yours, but are not direct competitors. This is called reciprocal linking.
However, the problem with this method is the sheer amount of time it takes if you were to do it manually.
If you decide to do this manually, you can easily expect to spend hundreds of hours on this activity alone.
Here's what you need to do:
i) You need to use the search engines to find sites related to yours that are not direct competitors by typing in some keywords that are related to your site.
ii) You also need to find sites that link to your competitors.
iii) You need to visit these sites and see if they actually exchange links.
iv) If you decide that you want to exchange links with a particular site, you need to find out exactly how it wants you to link to it from your site.
v) You then need to manually add a link to this site in your site.
vi) Then, you need to find out the email address of the owner of the website and send the owner a personalized email requesting that he/she adds a link to your site in return.
vii) In many cases, you will not be able to locate the email address of the owner simply because the owner has not published any email address on the site. In that case, all the effort that you had put into evaluating whether or not the site is suitable for exchanging links will have been a waste of time.
viii) If you do manage to locate the email address, you need to send a personalized and customized email to the website owner.
ix) You then need to wait and see whether this site is willing to exchange links with you.
x) If the site is not willing to link to you, you need to remove the link to the site from your site. Once again, all the effort that you had put into evaluating the site, linking to it and sending an email to the owner will have been a waste of time.
You have to repeat the same process all over again for the next site that you want to exchange links with.
Obviously, there has to be a better way. And there is!
Luckily for you, I have developed a ground-breaking new software called LinkExplore that completely automates the entire process of exchanging links with other website owners, thus saving you hundreds of hours of your time.
I had originally developed the software for my own needs but later decided to make it available to other website owners as well.

Google Adsense Tips - 6 Theories At Work
By Carole Nickerson
1. Less is More
I believe the theory behind this lies within the visitor's experience at a website. If you serve up let's say... a 728x90 leaderboard, and a 160x60 side block, and maybe even an extra ad unit or link unit then you aren't just showing the top-paying ads, you're also showing a lot of the ads with lower values too. This is especially painful if your site only triggers ads in the $2 range. These low-paying keywords can be a distraction to the visitor and while the recommended "slop of gravy on top with a side of mashed potatoes" (describing sites using the 728x90 and 160x60 ad blocks on a page) has often been touted as the best placement for Adsense, it is being proven by many to not be all that tasty. Why? Because these ads are "outside" of your content, not within it. When Adsense ads are placed within the body of content, it generally performs better for many. I have seen this myself in testing different Adsense placement methods. One site I own jumped in CTR by 10% when I removed the full meal deal and opted for a small 468x60 text ad block within the body of my content.
2. Keyword Density
While Google doesn't reveal the specifics on the methods behind their Adsense madness, most people have learned through experimentation that keyword density plays a significant role. Adsense does rely on the content to determine which ads to show, and they want their ads to be shown. It would also appear that content towards the top of your page has a greater influence over the ads. It's almost a passive way of forcing Adsense users to boost their keyword density to not only show the most relevant ads, but to improve search engine positioning which improves the chances of those ads being seen. Perhaps an underhanded means of thumbing their nose to MSN, which seems to feed on keyword loaded sites these days propelling many an Adsense website into it's top rankings. Either that, or I've been watching too many shows about conspiracy theories.
3. Less is More - or More is More?
Another theory is that using fewer internal links on your webpage gives visitors fewer "click-away" options, thus improving chances of them clicking on Adsense ads. If you have 20 links on your page and let's say 4 of them being within a 728x90 ad block, then visitors still have 16 other links to choose from beside the meager 4 Adsense links. Keep only 5 links on the page, and they now have only 9 links to choose from other than Adsense ads. Add more Adsense ads, such as a block containing 5 more links carefully weaved into your content (such as a 336x280), and they now have a better chance of getting clicked on with a ratio of 9:9. Taking it a step further, you could also factor other numbers into the equation such as : percentage of page scanned before clicking away, percentage of page scanned before scrolling, number of average scrolls per page to predict good places to place ads, etc. The odds can definitely be in your favour with this tactic. I haven't aggressively tested this theory yet and with a blog this is certainly not an option, but I have noticed on another site I own this might explain the 20-40% CTR I'm seeing on pages where all internal links are at the bottom of the page.
4. Using Images Next To Ads
While it's reported that Adsense doesn't like images placed next to ads which appear to be served by Google, this has been proven by many to boost CTR incredibly. And because these images are different than those which caused the worldwide pandemic of "banner blindness", people are more likely to notice them. It really just makes sense. Human beings are visual creatures. From the time we were monkeys popping our heads over the grass to see if a lion was coming our way, our eyes have always been our first tool in evaluating a situation, and of course, checking out other monkeys. But back to Adsense... even more effective is when you use images that illustrate the content of the page. I've used this trick and find it reallly works well.
5. Font Type and Size
This was announced on the official Adsense Blog recently and it's a great tip. Adjust your page's font and size to match Adsense ads can greatly boost CTR. This could be difficult if your site has a lot of static pages, but a simple batch search & replace tool can help you speed things up. Now figuring out what the matching font is has been a chore for many.
I believe (through trial and error) that the font used mainly in Adsense ads is Arial, size: 11px
A number of people have reported that they've witnessed Adsense ads conforming to their page's CSS font styles. If anything is occurring here, I'm willing to take a guess that Adsense ads might be able to adapt to a very limited number of fonts and if you happen to use one of those fonts on the page, it will change accordingly. But as I said, if this is true than I think it's limited. After all, have you ever seen an Adsense ad in FontLeroyBrown 20px?
6. Test, test, test
Nearly everyone agrees that Adsense is only as effective as the unique way you integrate it into your website. What works for one person may not work for another. While there are some basic principles which are great starting points for any website, your design and content is unique and therefore visitor behaviour will be unique. Your best results will come through experimentation and patience.

How to Make Money Online with Affiliate Programs
If you have the concept down, you then need to find some product or service you'd like to promote. There has to be some kind of identifiable target audience that would want this product or service. Now you actually have to promote the product or service to make money online. You can easily do this by setting up a blog or other type of website.

Making money with affiliate programs isn't rocket science. You don't need a marketing degree or a college degree to do it. In fact, affiliate programs are an excellent way to make money online and it can be easy to do if you go in knowing some key points.
First, to make money with an affiliate program, you need to understand how they work. An affiliate program works by signing up people to represent certain products or services and then paying those people a commission to sell the company's product or service. This is a great way for companies to expand their sales force and market share. Nowadays, with the Internet making the world your global marketplace, making money online through affiliate programs is more feasible than ever.
Hundreds of thousands of firms have launched affiliate programs that have continued to be a great success. Big names you know such as Ebay, Amazon, and Google have affiliate programs where it's possible for an individual to make a good amount of money online through their affiliate programs.
If you're not sure how to begin the process of making money online through an affiliate program, here is a brief outline to get you started.
First, find a company with a product or service you'd like to represent. Normally you will sign up at the company's website. If they don't manage their own affiliate programs you might be registering at an affiliate management site such as Commission Junction or ClickBank. You will be given your own unique i.d. as an affiliate of the company to sell its products online through its affiliate program.
Then, set up a blog or your own website and advertise your product with a link to the company's site that includes your affiliate i.d. so you can be given credit for each sale. When people hit your blog or website, they will see the advertisement for the product or service you're representing and when they click the link to go to the company website, you will be given credit if they buy the product or service. You probably won't have a problem finding products to sell in an online affiliate marketing program to make money. There are numerous products in categories such as art, automotive products, cards, computers, credit cards and finance, gambling and adult venues, home businesses, magazines, matchmaking sites, web hosting services and so much more. It's just a matter of deciding what you feel has mass public appeal and what type of products or services you'd be comfortable representing.
There are two key points to being a successful affiliate and making money online through affiliate programs. Number one, you must market yourself. The previously mentioned blog is an excellent way to market your affiliate program and make money online. With a blog you can write personal, newsy messages and you can go a step further and keyword enhance them to give your page more relevance in search engine return results. It's a great way to "soft sell" the public on your affiliate program items. If you don't want to use a blog, set up a website. Don't put a bunch of screaming graphics or huge letters. The most successful affiliate sites are not full of fluffy words and empty promises about products. The successful websites are low-key in design using low graphics and light colors. Another great way to market yourself is to write articles about your service or product you're selling. Use a product review style and post them on any of the free article databases out there with a link back to your site.
The second key point in making money online through affiliate programs is to be organized. You can use your computer and build a spreadsheet, make notes on a pad and keep it in your desk drawer. Whatever works for you so you can keep track of your programs. You just need to be consistent and diligent about keeping records of your clicks and sales to insure that you make money in your affiliate programs.
If people are clicking your links and you're not getting sales. Obviously you need to tweak out the wording for your products. People are turned off by phrases such as "It's the Best" or "You MUST have this product/service". Instead, tell people how they will benefit from the product or service with out using sales fluff and filler words, give them a few uses for it, show them why they should purchase from you, and they will. You in turn, will make money online for simply hosting an affiliate program.
When a sale is made, you will be given credit as long as your affiliate i.d. was associated with the sale. Most affiliate programs let you sign up for free and pay you a percentage of the sale. You don't do any shipping or direct sales. Usually, if you market hard and consistently, you stand to make a good deal of money online through affiliate programs. That's the sheer beauty of using online affiliate programs.
Now that you know the potential for making money online with affiliate programs, sign up for some affiliate programs to represent products or services you feel have a mass appeal. It's not too late to get in on one of the fastest and easiest moneymaking opportunities you can find to make money online.
